Have you bought home mushrooms? Are there any sausage rolls in the freezer? Do you also have a pot of parsley at home? And maybe a clove of garlic on top? Then you can make a wonderfully fragrant mushroom fryer.

Ingredients

  • 40 g butter at room temperature

  • 1 pot or bunch of parsley

  • Finely grated peel, so-called zest, and juice from half an organic lemon

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 200g mushrooms

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

  • 2 dry sausage bread or 2 other slices of white bread

Steps:

  1. Wash half of the organic lemon, finely grate the yellow peel

  2. Squeeze the juice from the lemon

  3. Separate the parsley stems from the parsley leaves

  4. Mix butter, parsley stalks, lemon zest+juice and garlic in a food processor

  5. Heat a frying pan. Fry the mushrooms in cooking oil until they are lightly golden brown

  6. Cut the bread into 1 cm cubes

  7. Add the bread and parsley butter mixture and fry until the bread is crispy

  8. Season with salt and pepper. Pour off excess butter and save it for another dish

  9. Chop the parsley leaves and sprinkle them over the mushrooms
